Evaluation and Analysis of Common Problems in Reliability Design in PCB Design
Question 1: This veneer has been produced in small batches, and no problems have been found after a long period of testing
Comment: The hardware design and chip application must comply with relevant specifications, especially all the parameters mentioned in the chip manual (withstand voltage, I/O level range, current, timing, temperature PCB wiring, power quality, etc.), and cannot rely on testing alone To verify. Many of the company’s products have had painful lessons. The products have been sold for a year or two. The IC manufacturer changed the production line, and our board did not turn. The reason is that the chip parameters of other people have changed a little, but it has not exceeded the manual. Range. If you follow the manual, you are not afraid of any changes. If the parameters become out of the manual, you can ask him for compensation (if your board can still be turned at this time, then your reliability will be even better).
Question 2: As long as this part of the circuit requires software to be designed in this way, there will be no problem
Comment: Many electrical characteristics of hardware are directly controlled by software, but software is often accidental. After the program runs away, it is impossible to predict what will happen. The designer should ensure that no matter what kind of operation the software does, the hardware should not be permanently damaged in a short period of time.
Question 3: User operation error occurs, so you can’t blame me
Comment: It’s okay to require users to strictly follow the manual, but the user is a human, and when they make mistakes, it can’t be said that when a wrong key is touched, the machine will crash, and the wrong plug will burn the board. Therefore, various mistakes that users may make must be protected.
Question 4: The reason for the bad board is that there is a problem with the opposite board, which is not my responsibility
Comment: There should be sufficient compatibility for various external hardware interfaces, and you can't rest just because the other party's signal is abnormal. Its abnormality should only affect the part of the function related to it, and other functions should work normally, and should not be completely on strike, or even permanently damaged, and once the interface is restored, you should immediately return to normal.
