39 cities across the country have been approved to build subways. It is estimated that by 2020, the total mileage of the country’s subways will reach 6,000 kilometers, with an investment of 4 trillion yuan. Wang Ming, director of the Comprehensive Transportation Research Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission, said recently that the biggest cake in the future Chinese market is not real estate, but rail transit. In recent years, my country’s urban rail transit has developed rapidly. Due to the increasingly serious traffic congestion, many cities in my country have experienced the phenomenon of “subway fever”. About 50% of the EU's relatively densely populated urban agglomerations, there is still huge room for development in the planning and construction of rail transit in my country. The explosion of rail transit has led to the rapid development of related electronic equipment, and PCB copy board companies have also ushered in development opportunities.
Rail transit has great prospects and core equipment is still lacking
In terms of urban rail transit, due to the limitations of economic strength and technical level, the construction of urban rail transit in China started late. Before 2000, only three cities, Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, had rail transit lines. Since the beginning of the 21st century, with the rapid development of China's economy and the acceleration of urbanization, urban rail transit has also entered a period of great development. During the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" period, my country's urban rail transit operating mileage maintained an accelerated upward trend. With the construction of rail transit projects in major cities, the share rate of rail transit passenger traffic continues to rise, but there is still a big gap compared with international metropolises. In 2010, the rail transit passenger traffic sharing rates in Beijing and Shanghai were 24.41% and 31.82%, respectively, an increase of 2.87 and 6.13 percentage points from 2009. In the same period, the passenger share of Tokyo and London reached 80%. The domestic rail transit industry still has huge room for development, but the core equipment research and development capabilities still lag far behind the international level. How to speed up the overall research and development level of domestic equipment is a problem that needs to be solved urgently.
PCB copy board secondary innovation to promote development
Due to the late start of my country’s rail transit equipment industry, in recent years, through the introduction of PCB copy board, digestion, absorption and re-innovation, the overall research and development capabilities and product levels have been greatly improved. Heavy-duty and express freight trains, urban rail vehicles, large-scale track maintenance machinery, train operation control, train dispatching and commanding, computer interlocking, comprehensive monitoring and other product manufacturing technologies. However, some core components still need to be imported from abroad, such as the electrical parts on high-speed rail cars, such as pantographs, converters, and braking devices, which are mainly imported or foreign core components are used in joint ventures. The company assembles, this is mainly because the domestically produced PCB products still have a gap with the international advanced technology in terms of reliability.
