Aiming at the development of the electronics industry, more and more people are engaged in the electronics industry, which has led to the rapid development of SMT. On the one hand, entrepreneurs, researchers, and engineers can discover business opportunities, find issues, develop products, and promote and drive related products. The development of the industry creates a large number of employment opportunities. On the other hand, the use of advanced technology and equipment requires a large number of SMT talents who have mastered advanced manufacturing technology as support.
However, compared with the fast-developing SMT industry, my country's SMT education and training are obviously lagging behind. Both people's ideas, development speed and quality are far from being able to meet the development needs of the SMT industry. Because the knowledge structure and comprehensive ability of employees cannot keep up with technological development, and the low management level, some enterprises cannot improve the quality of their craftsmanship and can only manufacture products with low technical content, and some enterprises fall into a vicious circle of low-price competition.
Now let’s talk about the methods of cultivating SMT technical talents
The SMT technical talents needed by enterprises are divided into three levels. Different types of enterprises have different requirements for the three levels of SMT technical talents.
1. "Blue-collar" SMT technical personnel. "Blue-collar" SMT technical personnel refer to technical workers who undertake the specific operations of smt equipment or processes in production positions and have a certain understanding of SMT equipment, patch materials, and chip materials. The corresponding post groups include comprehensive management personnel (such as material managers), equipment or process operators, etc.
2. "Gray-collar" SMT technical personnel. "Gray-collar layer" refers to the technical personnel who undertake the SMT process, document and quality management and material control work on the production line, or the engineering personnel who undertake the daily operation, testing, maintenance, and repair of SMT equipment, to operate and manage the equipment Have a little experience. The corresponding post groups include comprehensive management personnel (such as quality control personnel), team leaders, process or equipment technicians, etc.
3. "Golden collar" SMT technical personnel. "Golden collar" refers to engineering personnel with rich practical experience with knowledge and ability of SMT basic theory, technology and production process, SMT equipment performance and application, SMT process project management, etc. The corresponding post groups include equipment or process assistant engineers, equipment or process engineers, managers or plant directors, etc.
In our country, the construction of corresponding disciplines, majors, and education and training systems has just started. Now the disciplines and majors set up by universities can hardly meet the requirements of SMT. According to the teaching rules, it takes at least three or four years for universities to train qualified SMT talents.
First of all, SMT technology is a very practical technology. It is not so much that the basic knowledge of SMT technology comes from schools or courses, as it comes from practice, from the teaching, help, and guidance of experienced masters in the practical environment. Any academic teaching that is divorced from reality and lacks practice will not help the healthy development of SMT education.
Secondly, the requirements of the enterprise for the knowledge and ability structure of SMT technical talents of the "gray-collar" determine the target orientation of the training of SMT technical talents in higher vocational colleges. "Blue-collar" SMT talents can be cultivated through secondary vocational education, or rely on the company's own strength; "Golden-collar" SMT talents require a lot of practical experience, and schools alone cannot train them.
Thirdly, higher vocational colleges can achieve the basic conditions to support the education and training of SMT technical talents for the "gray-collar" through teaching reforms such as the construction of SMT laboratories, SMT professional teacher training, and seeking school-enterprise cooperation.
Based on the above analysis, higher vocational colleges should mainly target "gray-collar" SMT talents. The orientation of talent training should be: understand the basic SMT technology and production process, master the basic performance and application of SMT equipment (including SMT placement machine / solder paste printer / reflow soldering, etc.), have experience in equipment operation and management, and have a good Professional quality, can be engaged in SMT equipment operation, daily maintenance, SMT process and manufacturing, process documentation, simple processing of process problems, quality control (IQC, IPQC, OQC), material control and other technical work in the production line of the enterprise Talents
Now it is not difficult to see that SMT is already one of the ten most vital technologies in the information industry today. In view of this, it is necessary to recognize the importance of SMT talents. Cultivating talents is a strong move for the SMT industry.
