Multilayer board refers to a printed board with more than three conductive pattern layers and insulating materials between them laminated with a gap, and at the same time, the conductive patterns are interconnected according to requirements. Multilayer circuit boards are the products of the development of electronic information technology in the direction of high speed, multi-function, large capacity, small volume, thinness and light weight.

Circuit boards are divided into flexible boards (FPC), rigid boards (PCB), and rigid-flex boards (FPCB) according to their characteristics.

How to distinguish between multi-layer circuit boards and single-layer circuit boards?

1. Take it to the light, the inner core is opaque, that is, all are black, it is a multilayer board, otherwise it is a single and double board, and a single board has only one layer of wiring and no copper in the hole. . The double-sided board has lines on both the front and back, and there is copper in the lead-through hole.

2. The most fundamental difference is the number of lines:

Single-layer circuit board has only one layer of circuit (copper layer), all holes are non-metallized holes, no electroplating process

Double layer circuit board has two layers of circuits (copper layer), with metallized holes and non-metallized holes, and electroplating process

3. Circuit boards are divided into single-sided circuit boards, double-sided circuit boards and multilayer circuit boards. Multi-layer circuit boards refer to circuit boards with three or more layers.
