What are the types of PCB inks?
Everyone in the PCB industry knows that PCBs need ink. At present, there are many types of inks on the market. What types of PCB inks are there? Take a look:
1. Line ink
Circuit ink is used as a barrier layer to prevent corrosion of the circuit. It is used to protect the circuit during etching. It is generally liquid photosensitive. There are two types of circuit inks: acid corrosion resistance and alkali corrosion resistance. The alkali resistance is more expensive. After the ink is corroded out of the circuit, the unnecessary parts must be dissolved with alkali.
2. Solder mask ink
The solder mask ink is applied to the circuit as a protection circuit after the circuit is completed. Solder mask inks are liquid photosensitive, heat-cured, and UV-cured. The solder pads are reserved on the board to facilitate soldering of components and serve as insulation and anti-oxidation.
3. Character ink
Character ink is used to mark the surface of the board, such as those marked with component symbols, which are generally white.
In fact, there are other inks, such as peelable glue ink, which is to protect the parts that do not need to be treated when doing copper plating or surface treatment, and then tear off the other parts that do not need to be protected. There are silver paste inks and so on.
